Friday afternoon, end of the week, beginning of the weekend, just a few doors from where I work, we decided to try out, Cava Mezze (Clarendon), an amazing restaurant in the top 100!
Eric met me and we were joined by Gemma, Peter and Nora for dinner, before we headed to The Birchmere to be joined by Karyn and Michael for a incredible evening listening to David Wilcox and Susan Werner.
A priceless evening...
But, let's start with the meal. Thanks to our waiter Jon and his awesome recommendations, starting with beverages -- I had raspberries, mint & lime. I may have to try creating that one at home!

...and then there was dessert!
Poached Pear -- (I can taste it just thinking about it.)
French Toast
Thick cut challah / honey / berries / cream
(This is reason enough to go back for brunch on Sunday and have this for a meal!)
A wonderful evening with big tastes in small dishes, with great friends and family, and conversation fit for a rocket scientist J
